The MET Gala: what every single person who is in fashion or who loves fashion looks forward to every year, excluding the CFDA awards. This year's MET Ball was held on Monday at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. The Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrated the opening of an exhibition titled "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty", which featured the late designer's famous work; Alexander McQueen committed suicide on February 11, 2010. Sarah Burton was named creative director of the fashion house after his death. She has filled his creative shoes well, as shown by her most famous customer to date: Catherine Middleton. There was a ton of Stella McCartney, Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, & Calvin Klein on this year's red carpet. Below are a few (ok, a lot) of my favorite looks from this year's MET Ball.
Diane Kruger in Jason Wu
Sexy & demure all at once. First look I saw of
the night, and definitely one of my favs!

Bee Shaffer in Balenciaga
Always perfect... always.
Taylor Swift in J. Mendel Couture
Edgy, yet still sophisticated.

Blake Lively in Chanel Haute Couture
Killin' it, as usual. Another one of my top picks
from last night.
Fergie, also in Marchesa, with hubby Josh Duhmel,
who's wearing Calvin Klein Collection
Perfection.
Rihanna in Stella McCartney
Edgy rocker, little mermaid, and see-thru lace all
rolled up into one.
Freida Pinto in Chanel Haute Couture
Manly womenswear. I like.
Dianna Agron in Michael Kors Collection
Red hot.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing Burberry
How low can you go?
Leelee Sobieski in Alexander McQueen
Goddess-like
Christina Ricca in Zac Posen
Could have done something different with her hair,
but I love that she actually went for it.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Stella McCartney
Always sleek & sexy.
Renee Zellweger wearing Carolina Herrera
Helloooo hottie!
Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen
A beauty, every time.
Penelope Cruz in Oscar de la Renta
Another smokin' bombshell.
Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection
Looks like liquid metal gliding over her.
Margherita Missoni in Missoni
I love that the classic Missoni print has been muted
enough to where it's still visible, but the dress still
can stand on it's own.
Vera Wang
Loving the bright pop of citron as a contrast
to all the other neutral looks.
Emma Roberts in Michael Kors
The cutout in this dress looks sexy, not skanky.
Bar Rafaeli
This has a gilded, Egyptian feel to it, no?
Gisele Bundchen, in Alexander McQueen, with Tom Brady
Three words: Old Hollywood Glamour.
Nicole Richie in Vintage
This dress, from the 1930s, looks so beautiful on her.
