Proenza Schouler S/S 2011 via Harpers Bazaar
Shibori has become a focus for many designers lately, especially Proenza Schouler. For those who don't know, shibori is a Japanese term used for several different methods of dying cloth to create a pattern. These methods include binding, twisting, stitching, folding, compressing, or capping. Some of you may know a few of these methods as tie-dye. There are limitless ways that you can twist, bind, stitch, compress, or fold the cloth, which means that each results in a unique pattern. Take a look below at some of the gorgeous patterns created by the shibori method.
