On the way up: purple nails, army green maxi skirt, and a Michael Kors watch paired with a top knot (not shown, obvs)
We went to breakfast one morning and the diner had one of these little mini juke-boxes in every single booth.
These were my grandmother's hair books. One is from 1962, the other from 1964.
The book on the right is broken into five sections: your beauty personality, hairdos, advice on
taking care of your hair, the supplies you need, and how to become an expert.
I thought they were both so much fun. Below are a few pictures from inside the books.

My dad found these slippers that my grandmother knitted. My grandparents used to
own a card shop and my parents told me that my grandmother would sell these in the store. They were
so popular that the price kept increasing. I took red, my mom got white and blue, and
my sister-in-law now has a pair of plain blue slippers.
Looking through old photo albums, I found a newspaper article about my parents marriage. This
picture of my mother accompanied the article. I found it interesting how much detail the article
went into, right down to an extensive description of my mother's dress, her flowers, and
what the bridal party wore.
The fam minus my brother, sister-in-law, and niece and nephews.
