THE DEBBIE DRESS
Finally finished making that one shoulder 'disco' dress and wore to my friend's wedding dinner last week.
Anyway, I think this might be my last post of the year as I'm off to the land of meat pies & chicken parma (yes Australia) for the holidays! Will bring back some photo memories, but I'm very excited for 2011, which I think will bring lots of new things to the forefront! Thanks to all for reading my posts til date- have a fantastic Christmas & a happy New Year!! xo
It ended up being a little short but I still liked it anyway. I'm going to call it my Debbie dress because I bought the fabric with my friend Deborah ages ago at the fabric market in Los Angeles and at that time we were talking about being partners & starting our own clothing line. She was the one who picked out the fabric and I since grew to like it very much. It's purple & green with bits of lurex mixed into it, something still shiny and colorful for the festive season and not the usual black dress.

HEADDRESS
It's a bit hard not to sit up and notice this back-to-the-roots/hippie/native look. Seen it everywhere from the latest Pirelli calendar shot by Karl Lagerfeld to Rumi from fashiontoast to Stylestalker's latest Desert Fox collection and now an awesome blog from Oraclefox which features her amazing style & anything with feathers, crystals and crochet, preferably vintage. It's really not my style at all but it's also difficult not to get inspired by this free spirited attitude.

Pamela Love i LOVE!!!
Pamela Love:
After working as a stylist, painter and set designer, Pamela Love started her eponymous jewelry label in 2007. The American draws inspiration from "nature, music and magic" to create opulent designs with a rock cool edge. Give every outfit a touch of tough with chunky bronze cuffs, striking arrowhead necklaces and statement silver rings.
I really admire people that are talented and passionate about their work.
It is so inspiring what she does and i love the way she talks about every single piece of her collection , the story and the elements that makes them so special ,not to say about the beautiful and UNIQUE design of her jewellery!
Her collection is so beautiful and i wish i could afford a few pieces , they are truly mystique, i love the way she uses elements of nature by transforming them into gorgeous jewellery!
I also like the fact that she has her own style and individuality and that she doesn't follow any trends which makes her jewellery pieces so exceptional, her work is a reflection of her personality and her experiences .
Passion and love for what we do is the most important element to success!
xx
